👯 Ktm 950 Adventure Seat Height
A KTM 950 Super Enduro to be precise. What the Super Enduro is, is easier to see than to describe. It's part super-sized enduro racer, part downsized super-trailie. The engine is that of the 950 Adventure, the carburetted predecessor of the 990 Adventure. And the chassis is also similar, but not identical, to the Adventure.

I always kinda figure in 200 off the price and I hatevto be the low baller who asks for 700 off. But with this budget I may have to get a bit more aggressive LOL.
The easiest way would be just to swap the entire front forks and rear shock (which I really don't want to do). Change the internals/spacers/whatever is involved, like the parts that come on the 55mm raising kit supplied on the KTM powerparts catalog (I'm assuming that the 2003 vs. 2010 parts are interchangeable).
The early 640 adventure had 300/325mm travel while the later ones have 270/310. There have been 3 distinct suspension travels for the 9x0. 950. 2003/2004/2005 950 230mm travel front/rear - 880mm (34.6") seat height. 2003/2004/2005 950S 265mm travel front/rear - 915mm (36") seat height.
The 990 Adventure S is fitted with the proven light weighted LC8 engine with an increased displacement of now 999 cc. In addition, new motor management guarantees a powerful and dynamic unfolding of power and significantly improved torque while maintaining the same level of top performance. General information. KTM's profilation of this bike High power output and ample torque, paired with an unbeatable weight in its class, guarantee super-agile handling and incomparable riding fun. The cahssis (lowered by about 20 mm) and the new, more comfortable seat (new at a reduced height of 860 mm) make the KTM 950 Adventure even more universal than before.
I ve had both, a 950A and now a 990 Adventure S. For me the 950 was a little soft, even for the road, and the 990S is perfect. HOWEVER, the 990s is a hand full in the tight stuff because it s so tall. It feels a lot heavier than 950 because it s so tall. I hate ABS so the 990S is for me and I ve almost gotten used to the tallness.
A true on-and-off-road machine, the 950 Adventure’s engine developed an impressive 98.00 HP (71.5 kW) @ 8000rpm while maximum torque (95.00 Nm) was reached at 6000rpm. Color was KTM Orange. 2004 model year marked the addition of Silver and Black colors which weren’t kept for future years as in 2005 the “S” became a replica of Dakar
