Fasting for a day and it would still be beneficial. I lost 100lbs and built a load of muscle by working out fasted.
Its a good question: we really don’t know. To some degree there is always autophagy going on. But, we don’t have any good test to figure out when it really increases in fasting. I’ve seen resources say anywhere from 8 hours to 36. I’m sure there are a lot of variables from person to person. But it doesn’t really matter.
Afterthe first few times, fasting 24-36 hours isn't nearly as bad as you think it will be. You're not starving to death the entire time. Hunger comes in waves, and if you can distract yourself with a cup of coffee or whatever, you'll be okay for hours. 1. EvrythingElseIsTaken.
