Adblue er som udgangspunkt et miljøvenligt stof, og det betragtes som uskadeligt. Adblue sprøjtes ind i udstødningen under kørslen. Via en SCR-katalysator hjÌlper Adblue med at nedbryde kvÌlstofilte i udstødningen. Bilens partikelfilter opfanger herefter 99,9 pct. af de sundhedsskadelige partikler. Adblue püfyldes en separat tank pü bilen.
The engine management light on my 2016 A7 272 came on today, when I checked under the bonnet, I noticed a fair amount of a white crystalline substance in the engine bay, situated mostly around the exhaust manifold (see pic). Some digging revealed this to be an AdBlue leak, its not toxic apparently, just unsightly.

The transfer pump that moves fluid from larger adblue storage tank into the smaller, 'working' adblue storage tank is a weak link, but we'd need some details on your issue to help you better. Last edited by '10Q7TDI_Prestige'; 03-21-2022 at 11:51 AM .
Hi my audi a6 avant adblu won't refill as if the flap won't open. Iv done 14000 miles and now just had 1st stage re mapping and now it's come on dash as adblu 25 miles to refill. Has my car had a deleted adblu with flap not opening.
Had the same ad blue fault appear on my A6 68 plate , 62k, which Iâve had from new. Specialist quote 1750 for repair and Audi have just quoted 1950 . Have always been really pleased with the car and Audiâs but Never expected this at all and until now wasnât aware this was an issue. Not happy to say the least.

The tank is apparently 8.5 litre capacity. I don't know how much was in the tank in the first place at handover. All told it took about 6.5 litres to refill this time so there should have been about 2 litres left in it before the refill. The Adblue warning was down to 900 miles and the odometer is at 4800.

It takes about 3 minutes of driving for the sensors to recognize the new level from filling. Just starting the engine doesn't do it. The warning light is still on after I drove 25 kms. may be 10 litres refill is not enough or the sensor is faulty. Adblue is topped up in January 2018 by Audi as a part of Recall campaign.
